November 6, 2009 · Filed Under Adsense, Google · 2 Comments

There’s nothing much changed from adsense dashboard panel since it launched back in 2003. Many of publishers request Google Adsense team to give better report so publishers can analyze their performance and hopefully can increase their earnings.

Now Google has answer that request. A New Adsense Interface!

It’s now in beta testing with small group of adsense publishers and will be ready for all publisher in next coming weeks. The beta testing is taking place in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.
If you still have the old one, you will noticed by email when the new interface ready for you

According to Google, this change was based on top three request from its users.

  1. Provide insights to help make more informed decisions about you sites.
  2. More control over ads that appear on your sites.
  3. Users can manage their account more efficiently.

Interesting part of this improvement is google now provide metrics like amount you’ve earned from various ad, targeting and bid types. Also in Ad Review Center, users will have more options to manage ads that appear on their sites.

Adsense privacy policy to keep your adsense account safe.

June 12, 2009 · Filed Under Adsense · Comment

How serious are you in Adsense? Do not consider frivolous of ‘privacy policy‘. Yes .. things that seem not important to you but your adsense account can be banned by google if your blog or website (which has adsense ads on it) does not have this privacy policy page.

This new terms has been officially announced by Google Adsense, but I still find many blogs/sites that does not have this privacy policy.

So in summary of Google Adsense’s new term is like this: publisher must have privacy policy on their site to load adsense ads which describes the contents of third parties that will create and read cookies on a user’s browser.

If you and most of the adsense publisher has not placed the privacy policy on your website, then this can be considered as you are “in violation of terms and conditions google adsense” that can lead to deletion of your adsense account.

I would like to remind those publishers who still serious to use adsense as dollars maker and have not post this conditions (privacy policy) to immediately add this on your site / blog.

To create a privacy policy is not difficult, you can use the generator, then copy and paste in your blog. You can make it to the Privacy Policy Generator.

Adsense chanel to earn more for addsense marketing

I agree that adsense channel is a must use tool for adsence marketing. It’s really helpful in optimizing adsense earnings. Before using this feature I only guess which ads are get most clicked. After I use adsense channel, I know what pages and what type of ads that generate most of my adsense income. Then I can optimize that pages to get earn more based on those report.

If you just start to use Google Adsense to monetize your site, you probably don’t realize how important Adsense channels are. When you create a channel, you’re able to get detailed information about performance of specific page and ad. You can compare different ads size or different ads location. You can compare between your sites or blogs. After you have this information, it will be easier to run your adsense marketing.

When I used adsence channel in the first time, I have no idea of what to put on the channel. So I make new channel every time I want to test new ad format. It’s really inefficient especially if you want to test lots of different combination. We’re only allowed to have 200 different channel (both custom and url channel) so you need to choose carefully for your adsense channel id. The challenge is how to use minimum channel id to cover all your needs.

What to create on channel?

There’re four main categories. It can be apply on adsense or other similar contextual ads. By using these categories you can almost cover all your need for ads tracking needs.

  1. Ads format or size. You need to know what ads size give best performance. There’re 12 format for ads unit and 6 format for ads link. You can create all of them for future needs or you can use your most used ads size.
  2. Ads location. Which google adsense spot get most clicked? Some idea that you can use: Left Panel, Right Panel, Inside Post, Between Post, etc. The purpose is you want to know where you should put adsense ads to give best result.
  3. Specific information. Set this for know more about your readers preference. Some idea: Color, Blended, Stand Out, Adsense Beautifier, etc.
  4. URL channel. To give information on what pages you should make optimization. The purpose is to see which page that give most contribution. So you can put more concentration for your golden goose. This channel is also useful when you have no access or can’t use specific channel on adsense ppc code.

From all pay-per-click (PPC) company in Internet, Adsense is still the leader. With easy entry and bigger income for most publisher, this make adsense as favorite PPC to participate. You can see, Adsense publisher are spreaded all over the net. From total newbie to big player. Also people from any country can join for this program.

Even though Adsense is very popular, some people still find it’s difficult to get approved as adsense publisher. If you already sent your application and get rejected or in pending status, you can review this 4 steps to get approved by Adsense team.

  1. Using Google Account. If you still don’t have Google Account, get yours now. It’s very easy and free. You google account will be used for all google application. Including adsense. For the sake of becoming adsense publisher, you need to use (at least) two google service which is Blogger.com and GMail.com.
  2. After you get your google account activated, you need to create a blog. Create a Blogger.com account and make one blog. Now you ready to write post to your blog.
  3. Write unique and quality content for your blog. Write at least 10 articles. If you can come-up with your own original content, you can use articles from other article directory. For example you can create from Go Article or ISnare or EZine. Save articles that you want to post on your blog. You can then re-create those articles with your own words. Don’t forget to leave author’s link in it.For faster approval of your application, do this trick. Now you have 10 unique content. Do not post them all in one shot. You need to post them gradually to make you blog looks like active blogs which updated regularly. For me, I post three articles in Day 1, another three in Day 2, two more in Day 3 and the rest in Day 4. Make sure Google don’t think your blog is run by automatic software.
  4. Now you ready to apply for Adsense publisher. Sign up from you blogger account. In your blogger dashboard, try to add “Adsense” page element in “Layout” setting. You will asked to open Adsense account. Just follow the step in registration form.

That’s it. You are done. Watch your email from Google Adsense.
